We all have a little brain fog at times - especially in the morning for me. You may need to focus on finishing the story, working on that report for work, or which requires our best efforts of the mind, however, we are in a cloud. What can you do to focus more effectively on the job? Fortunately, there are several things.
Caffeine is a possibility. No doubt that wakes up the brain for most individuals. But there are problems with coffee or tea. First, there are people like me who can to notlerate excessive caffeine. In fact, more tired and my brain when I'm drinking coffee day in foggy. Even people who do well with six cups a day, the advantages tend to diminish over time. Finally, caffeine just gets the user back to normal, and make it work without being too difficult.
Then there are the nootropic drugs. I would not recommend these good, because lots of them have not been used long enough by enough people for us to know what side effects they may have. On the other hand, there are some perfectly legal things, and some of us are ready for this first wave of self-experimenters who approve or disapprove the value of such things.
I tried a few that may be available from health food and supplements online and offline vendors. This is known as piracetam. There have been some studies done on this case, showing some real effects. As for my experience I can say that I am convinced that it helps me focus. In fact, instead of thirty posts that would normally write on a day when I promote my site, I wrote over a hundred the first time I tried piracetam. 12,000 words, and came with ease. I was focused on the task to say the least.
Dealing with the fog of the brain without drugs is probably protectedr, though, and it's certainly cheaper. For example, sometimes just some deep breaths to clear your mind. Meditation often is the next step after that, and may help with long-term certainty by reducing stress and anxiety.
There's also an exercise of attention you may do to eliminate brain fog, in the event your particular condition right now is caused by excessive thoughts, both conscious and unconscious. It is often too busy our mind to think clearly. After exercise deals with this.
Pause what you do and take several deep breaths through your nose, letting the blood flow out of your muscles. Then change into aware of what's happening in your mind. Attention for several minutes to see what surfaces. As every feeling that might disturb or thought or memory is facing in a way that it was obtained.
For example, in the event you find that just below the surface of consciousness which have been involved in a task in the house that has to do, make a mental note or write it on a list of things to do, so you may stop the thought aside. If you realize you're hungry, grab a quick bite. If a phone call it's worthwhile to do, go ahead and make or schedule for later. Essentially, it's worthwhile to find a way to put aside the mind this little irritations may very well be interfering with your ability to concentrate.
